מָלַט(b. h.) (to stand forth, project (cmp. בָּלַט), to escape. Pi. מִלֵּט to rescue. Midr. Till. to Ps. 41 ביום רעה אֲמַלֶּטְךָ on the day of evil I shall save thee. Taan.23a מִילַּטְתּוֹ בתפלתךָ thou hast saved it (the generation) through thy prayer. Yalk. Ps. 777 מיכל מְמַלֶּטֶתוכ׳ Michael helped David to escape from within and Jonathan from without; a. e. Nif. נִמְלָט to be saved, to escape. Esth. R. introd. נח ראש לנִמְלָטִים Noah is the first of those saved (mentioned in the Bible). Koh.
